Marrekech, Morocco...what a dream!

What a whirl wind of a trip but worth every minute.  Hot, blasts of heat hit us as soon as we stepped out of the plane...what a sight to see, brown desert sand swirls in and out of the clouds and you look down upon the African Sahara and there emerges orchards and farm land speckled by flat earthen houses.  Here are a few pictures to just get a taste of what we experienced our first day.  I will follow up with a few of our excursions later this week.  The Hotel Sofitel was an amazing palace of opulent decadence and incredible people watching...we were the ONLY AMERICANS there!!!  How crazy is that!

The entrance to the Sofital

As we checked in which was done all while lounging in gorgeous seating arrangements, they presented us with cool towels that smelled devine, cold mint tea, macaroons and sweets packaged in adorable white bags for the kids.

A view from our sweet...room 108

This is where we spent most of our time...pool side, again a view from our sweet.

By mid day it was too hot to even pick these pieces up...must send this to Mr. C!!!!

Gorgeous dinner at L'Orangerie our first night...we had tagine and the kids had French and I picked out a bottle of wine...little did I know what 850 darhim was at the time!!!!  oops...but so worth it....I have the name in my I phone!!!!
