London here we come!!

Finally we are on our way to London via train...that was stressful...Brad bought standby 1st class tickets and I had no idea what was going on.  After lugging our suitcases(all 5 huge ones) onto the train only to find it was packed...I headed to seats in coach with A and J to find every seat taken...the long and short of it we found seats in first class and finally sat down to a lovely ride sitting opposite a dad and his 5 year old son who seemed to have EVERYthing put in place perfectly...ugh!  Turns out he trades derivatives and B and he had lots to discuss.  Our 6 hour trip was well worth the hassle...free sandwiches(loaded with guircon and mustard), tea and biscuits and a very pleasant ride at 120mph!!  To top it all off many had Wimbolden on so we got hourly updates despite poor Andy losing.

London...warm and muggy...rainy of course.  We arrived at Bridgestone Apartments to find an amazing courtyard leading to our complex on the 5th floor.  You can see the London Eye from our sitting room window.  The Millennium Bridge is a few blocks away and we were immediately drawn to it as we headed out for the night to explore our new neighborhood.  We are also close to St. Paul's Cathedral, hearing the church bells often.  This is the church Lady Diana was married in.

Check out the cute refrigerator on the right...so cute and has a surprising amount of room and blends in completely with the cabinetry, the dishwasher and laundry machine are the same style!!

This is where we will start everyday we are in London.  It is a visitors center that houses every pamphlet and flyer, helpful concierge services and cool tv screens streaming all kinds of events happening around London.  I can go in, get tickets to wherever we are going at a slight discount, get bus or tube directions and we are off.  How convenient is that!!!  You can see a peek of St. Pauls in this pix.  And of course the double decker!!
Dinner out near the Globe theatre...we had tapas with a serious English twist....not a huge hit with the kiddos until bread was asked for and delivered!!!

Abigail on the Millennium bridge.  J and Brad took off after dinner to explore Trafalgar Square and the girls went in search of a grocery store...our neighborhood sadly only has convenience/markets that are a bit pricey.
Thanks for your comments....they are really awesome to get...If you are reading this make sure you book mark my blog page and check back everyday.  I'm trying my best to keep up with our adventures and to date I am 2 days behind.  Hope to catch up tomorrow before we head to Morocco on Thursday!!  Cheers and we miss you all!!!

Funny story...the other night, came home from a family dinner with all the Haussmanns at the Saylor's (even Sarah's italian cousins) and after much good food and plenty of drink, we returned home. Only to have Chaco run across my feet while I stood in the kitchen!!!!!! he busted out of the top part and broke open the tape. No shit!!!!! he is safe and sound and we've taped, retaped and taped that part again. We all can laugh now that Chaco is safe:)
Be well and hope to here from you soon! Sharon
