Paris...the first days

Our first day all together in Paris found us wanting something to please the whiny kiddos...ooppps did I write that?  Destination the Tulieries, private gardens of Louis XV.  It is located in front of the Louvre and is massive.    As we stepped off the Metro into the park there in front of us was an old fashioned French flavored carnival!!!  Perfect...but no pony rides in site for Abigail.

The carnival had just the right amount of rides for the 7 and 9 year old set.  And this later became an important negotiation point when factoring in visits to the Louvre and the D'Orsey art museums later in the week.

This is not part of the carnival but what brought me to the Tulieries, there great playground. It was a bit young for J but A was into it for 2 secs...the carnival was too appealing.

  1. Love the slide pic - naomi has been watching home videos on the computer all summer and loved the hilarious giant slide one with jackson laughing so hard - now she doesn't watch it cause when firemens picnic came i had her go on the giant slide - with me, she was sooo excited BUT since i screamed the whole way down, probably traumatizing her - she did NOT like it and refused to go on again - - oh well!
